People often ask me where I got the name for my company, Jovia Web Studio.  In 2008, when my twin daughters were born, I decided to leave my full-time job as a computer teacher, and begin freelancing as a web developer and stay-at-home dad.  My daughter’s middle names are Joy and Olivia, which I combined to create a new word, Jovia. 

As time went on my wife’s schedule became lighter, and I took on more work.  I have since moved out of my basement to work full-time at a co-working office in Columbus, OH. 

I personally focus on project management and ExpressionEngine development, working with a great team of freelancers to provide efficient markup and top-notch designs.  I also enjoy learning how to leverage ExpressionEngine to provide comprehensive SEO to the sites that I build.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places, and tending my too-tropical-for-Ohio garden.
